im liking this show more and more each episode..... hopefully it stays getting better and better.... im confused with the mc a bit though.... he has the knowledge of future technology from like our time but is from 700 years in the past of their time now.... and by the way he talks it sound like their present time is more advanced then when he was alive back then so how is he familiar with future tech?????

The MC was a human by the name of Gao Wen from a time and Earth that's far more advanced than ours because his Earth have explored large portions of Earth. His original name Gao Wen which sounds like Gwain (at least to Chinese they are similar), a legendary pioneer who helped founded the Kingdom.

Basically for unknown reasons, Gao Wen ended up losing his physical body and stayed in the satellite as a mere consciousness for hundreds of thousands of years, normally not possible but he did anyways and one day, he woke up as Gwain in this world (Episode 1)

and the Gwain of this world lived and died 700 years ago and now has been reborn but with that consciousness of thousands of years from the satellite?????

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

To avoid spoilers, yes. That consciousness who lived hundreds of thousannds years ago is now occupying Gwain's body

Honestly this battle felt " meh", like it was one sided it didn't give me that suspense, nor thrill as to there was no imminent threat level. I have mixed feelings bout this like i'm glad all them survived, it was a major victory for them, but on the other hand disappointed in how that battle went. I know that's just how great of a lord and strategist Cecil is he executed those battle strategies flawlessly. However that's kinda why this battle was " Meh" no serious danger was ever presented towards the people, and those monsters were just for show literally all they did was run/charge, and roar. Weak battle energy all around.

as for the battle i felt it was going to be one sided last ep when he was creating the traps and didn't expect much intelligence out of the monsters.... they seemed like this worlds beast wave equivalent..... and you know how beast waves work.....portrayed as severely dangerous but they never break through and always end up as cannon fodder for the mc

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

I mean his opponents are low intelligence humanoid beasts. It isn't to show how much of a strategist is he, but rather him showing everyone that there's a better way of fighting now that the Magic Network is out (It's basically Magic Internet that also provides energy for them)

Well it technically is bout how well with the new magic network system in play, how he basically don't have to put his men in danger with them fight'n head on head with the monsters, with how strategic he can be with the magic network capabilities.

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Exactly! It's not a showcase of his stratagem, it's a showcase of the new possibilities with the magic technology!

Yea I can agree with that, I mean the man lived for centuries so you know he got battle strategics from all his experiences in battle combatant formations, and fight'n but yea as to rather show his men and the prince how well the magic network, can be a new form of battle strategic ways to out play his enemies, without put'n his men in harms way with fight'n up close n personal.

Eh... He's not Gwain, the Legendary Pioneer, he's Gao Wen, a human from a more advanced Earth. He doesn't have that much experience in battle

Ah I see you being funny Ha ha ha good one.

It's actually true, it's explained in the web novel but only briefly skimmed over in the first few minutes of episode 1

The MC is named Gao Wen. He was in a space voyage accident long ago from a super advanced Earth and his consciousness was stuck in the satellite till he found out his memory was failing and needed to escape to a body and got stuck with inhabiting the Pathfinder.

It's true, Gao Wen, the 'soul' that's residing in the body of the Legendary Pioneer Gwain is a Chinese dude who spent several hundred thousand years in that satellite/Spaceship without a body.

His combat skills are result of muscle memories developed by the legendary pioneer and strategies are just ripped off from memories of Gwain.

So in a way, you can say Gao Wen do have a lot of combat experiences, but I prefer to say that Gao Wen is borrowing these combat experiences and tactics from a real legend.

Ah I see so make since, since he had that connection when they found the satellite. My bad didn't fully know the whole story from the start. I understand what you mean now, its not really him, himself, but going off of Gwian aka cecil memories and experiences.

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Yeah Gao Wen is a chinese dude from Earth. Gwain Cecil is an European-like dude on this planet where the Sun is in a distance from the planet that should've turned it into the Planet Venus in real life yet life is blooming
